SEEN BY THE SUN

I was a TouchDesigner developer and technical advisor for a new media installation called 'Seen by the Sun', by mindscape artist Jeroen Alexander Meijer. 

 

As part of the collaboration I designed, and developed an eyetracking system that allows viewers to select people that are detected via an infrared camera on a screen. A pan-tilt motor with a parabolic mirror encasing a heating element would then turn towards the selected person.

The work was presented at the Obviously Unthinkable: Cosmographies event held by the iii (Instrument Inventors) community in The Hague.
