Between the 13th and 17th of April, I attended CHIÂ in Barcelona! It was so nice to reconnect with peers and meet new ones from across the world, and to discuss all sorts of interesting research during workshops, coffee breaks, and paper sessions.
👉 Topics that were close to heart:
- AI, XR, and Robotics (specifically HRI) to support the future of work. How do we build the interfacing between the human worker and automation?
- Spatial Computing and AI for heritage and creative practices. How do museum visitors perceive artifacts, and how can we design to support tangible interactions?
- NewMedia practices: creative computing, installations, generative art and design.
🥂Memorable as well were all the great social gatherings organised, which provided an informal setting for connecting.
🤝 During the week I enjoyed connecting with my group at TU Delft | Industrial Design Engineering, my friends at PoliTo and TU Wein, and colleagues at CHIWORK, where I am serving as Proceedings chair this year .
đź’ˇAs I reflect on the past week, I look forward to working on the collaborations which spurred from this week.
