šļø My opinion piece on the backpage of today'sĀ Times of Malta. Available both in print and online.
Itās been six years since I first argued in the Times of Malta that AI would become an essential part of contemporary life. Now that this 'pivotal moment' is truly upon us, the conversation has shifted to how we implement it responsibly.
āŗļøIn my latest piece, I explore why a successful transition depends on human-centred infrastructure rather than just surface-level implementations.
š¼ On the ground: I discuss how the public service should use a bottom-up approach and include all workers in any transition process.
š On the road: I briefly touch upon why we need safe, pedestrian-friendly mixed mobility spaces before we can realistically introduce autonomous vehicles to busy roads.
šIn the classroom: Why AI literacy must go beyond "how-to" prompts to focus on critical thinking and recognising fake material.
